Wakeboard, Waterski, Wakesurf & Barefoot Ropes and Handles
The right rope and handle setup makes a bigger difference than most riders expect. A no-stretch mainline gives you consistent, predictable pull for wake-to-wake jumps and handle passes. The right handle diameter and grip material keeps your hands locked in through inverts and spins. And for wakesurfing, rope length and stretch determine how quickly you can drop the rope and find the pocket. Welcome Boardstore stocks a full range of ropes, handles, and packages from Ronix, Straightline, Radar, Follow, and Sands — covering wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakesurfing, barefooting, tubing, and kneeboarding.

How to Choose the Right Rope & Handle
- Wakeboarding — Use a no-stretch mainline (Dyneema or Dyneema-core) for consistent pull. 80–85ft total length is standard. Choose handle diameter based on hand size: 1.10–1.15" for most riders, 1.25–1.30" for advanced handle-pass riders.
- Wakesurfing — Use a shorter rope (24–34ft) to stay in the wave pocket. Bungee ropes help beginners find the pocket; non-stretch ropes suit more experienced surfers.
- Waterskiing — Pre-stretched mainlines with multiple sections allow you to shorten the rope as you progress through the course. Handle grip style (Barlock, Sure Grip, TPR) is personal preference.
- Barefooting — Specialised toe handles with harnesses are required. Choose front or backwards toe configuration based on your trick repertoire.
