OTIS Eyewear started in 2000 in Yallingup, Western Australia — the same surf town as Creatures of Leisure, from the same founder, who wanted sunglasses that could handle WA sun, salt and UV rather than another imported fashion frame. Mineral glass lenses were the point from day one: clarity, scratch resistance, a proper tint. The name is a nod to Otis Redding. Twenty-five years on, OTIS is still a Western Australian brand, now with eco acetates and polarised glass sitting next to the originals.
