Wakeboard Ropes & Handles — Ronix & Straightline
A no-stretch rope and the right handle are two of the most impactful upgrades you can make to your wakeboard setup. A quality mainline gives you a consistent, predictable pull so you can time your edge and pop off the wake with confidence. The right handle diameter and grip keeps your hands locked in through spins, inverts, and handle passes. Welcome Boardstore stocks wakeboard rope packages and standalone mainlines from Ronix and Straightline — covering everything from beginner-friendly all-in-one packages through to premium performance setups for advanced riders.

How to Choose the Right Wakeboard Rope & Handle
- Rope stretch — Zero-stretch (Spectra Fusion, Dyneema) gives the most consistent pull and best pop off the wake. Low-stretch (PU coated, silicon mainline) is more forgiving for beginners. Never use a ski rope for wakeboarding — the extra stretch makes it impossible to time tricks.
- Rope length — Beginners: 55–65ft to stay closer to the wake. Intermediate to advanced: 65–75ft to hit the wake at its widest, cleanest point. Adjustable section ropes (Melo, Stab, One Combo) let you dial in the exact length for your boat speed and wake shape.
- Handle diameter — 1.10–1.15" suits most riders. 1.25" (Ronix One Combo) gives more room for handle passes and spins — preferred by advanced trick riders.
- Handle width — 15" is the standard for wakeboarding. Wider handles give more room for two-handed tricks and handle passes.
- Grip material — Hide grip (Ronix) is extra tacky for maximum hold. Ultra suede (Straightline) is soft and comfortable for long sessions. Both are non-slip when wet.
