The small stuff matters more than people think. A bad pair of socks can ruin a perfectly good day on the mountain — boot bite, cold feet, and blisters are all avoidable if you get this right. Same goes for keeping your pants where they're supposed to be. These aren't glamorous purchases, but they're ones you'll notice every single run.

Snow Socks

Skip the cotton socks. Merino wool and bamboo blends are what you want — they regulate temperature, wick moisture, and don't stink after a full day in your boots. Look for over-the-calf length to prevent boot bite, cushioned zones through the shin and heel, and seamless toe construction so there's nothing rubbing against your foot all day.

A good pair of snow socks is one of the cheapest upgrades you can make to your kit. Pair them with the rest of your snow accessories and your base layers for a complete setup.

Ski Belts & Suspenders

If your snow pants are sliding down every time you drop into a run, a belt or suspenders fix that instantly. Suspenders in particular are great when you're layering up — they hold everything in place without adding bulk around the waist. Low-profile, adjustable, and built to last a season (or several).
