Futures Coffin Bros Fins
The Coffin Bros. Control Series, designed by the brotherly duo of Conner and Parker Coffin, is a medium sized fin in the Rake Template category. For the first time ever, Futures is releasing a signature fin designed and tested by two team riders equally. Conner, the older brother and Championship Tour standout, trusts the design to suit the highest level of competitive surfing. Parker, the free-surfing goofy-foot, trusts the design to suit any, and all, conditions he finds on the road filming. Both brothers share a penchant for unflappable technique, which speaks volumes of the performance of their first signature instalment. The solid fiberglass construction provides a consistent flex pattern for stability and control. This is the largest fin in our medium range.

Futures rates every construction on a 1–10 scale. Low numbers hold a predictable line and control your speed. High numbers generate speed and snap out of turns. Three physical properties combine to produce it, and they are not weighted equally — flex counts for the most, then rake, then foil.

Flex is how much the fin bends under load — soft generates speed, stable controls it. Rake is the sweep of the outline — upright turns tight, laid-back holds long. Foil is the cross-section — a V or V2 foil feels fluid, a flat foil feels engaged.
