Futures 3/2 Vector Blackstix Large Thruster Fins - Silver
NEW RELEASE PRODUCT
The Vector 3/2 Blackstix+ is the next evolution in Futures Fins' high-performance fin technology, advancing beyond the previous Vector 3/2 in Alpha construction.
Unlike traditional Blackstix, the Blackstix+ features a stiffer layup, ensuring the Vector 3/2 foils stay fully engaged throughout turns. This increased stiffness and resonance enhances drive, hold, and spring back providing more control and power without sacrificing the fluid rail-to-rail transition.
The result is a fin that delivers a precise yet responsive, lively feel, making it ideal for surfers looking to elevate their performance in a variety of conditions.
WHAT IS A VECTOR FOIL
It is a proprietary Futures foil with a concave surface on the inside of the front fins, increasing surface area, water attachment, and lift.
WHAT IS A 3/2
3/2 complements the Vector with an extra 3 degrees of cant and 2 degrees of toe, introducing a twist to the foil for improved planing angles in sharp turns, creating lift and hold deeper into the maneuver.
PERFORMANCE BENEFITS OF THE VECTOR 3/2
The Vector 3/2 is a Speed Generating fin, maximizing water attachment over multiple planing surfaces, resulting in lift and reduced drag. The concave surface and twist in the upper half provide a unique grip and projection sensation, delivering fluid speed generation in smaller waves and powerful connection and increased speed in larger surf, resulting in faster and improved turns.
Helps connect turns while generating and maintaining speed with a more predictable engaged feel.
BENEFITS OF THE SCIMITAR TIP
Originally developed in 2006, The Scimitar Tip is flattened edge at the fin's trailing end, tightens the turn arc by reducing the template's length. This complements the 3/2 foil's lift and speed design, enhancing the feeling of release from turns while maximizing the foil properties throughout the fin's template.

Construction BlackstixFaster. Lighter. More responsive.
A V2 inside foil that generates and holds speed through turns, wrapped in a precision carbon and fiberglass matrix with lightweight epoxy resin. The liveliest fin Futures makes — it will make your board feel like a different board.
Ride Number 7–10 · Speed generating

V2 foil
Speed generatingConcave at the base, flattening out toward the tip. Water flows across the fin more cleanly, giving lift through every stage of the turn and an effortless rail-to-rail feel — even when the wave has no push in it.

Carbon and fiberglass matrix
Highly responsivePrecision-shaped carbon and fiberglass over a lightweight core, engineered for a highly responsive flex pattern. That is the snap and liveliness only Blackstix has.

Epoxy resin
Light. Lively.A proprietary epoxy that is lighter, tougher and more responsive than polyester. It also emits 50-75% fewer VOCs, so there is less nasty chemistry involved in making it.

Ride Number 7–10 · Speed generating How Futures rates every fin
Feel = Flex + Rake + Foil
Futures rates every construction on a 1–10 scale. Low numbers hold a predictable line and control your speed. High numbers generate speed and snap out of turns. Three physical properties combine to produce it, and they are not weighted equally — flex counts for the most, then rake, then foil.
Solid, engaged, predictable. Built for powerful conditions.
All-around. Drive, hold and looseness in equal measure.
Springy, fluid, responsive. Built to create speed from nothing.
Flex is how much the fin bends under load — soft generates speed, stable controls it. Rake is the sweep of the outline — upright turns tight, laid-back holds long. Foil is the cross-section — a V or V2 foil feels fluid, a flat foil feels engaged.
Sizing Which size am I? Sized to rider weight, not board length
Futures sizes fins to the surfer, not the board. Find your weight, then fine-tune with construction and template once you know your size.

The bands overlap on purpose. If you sit on a boundary, size up for more hold and drive, or down for a looser, easier-to-turn feel.
