Former Reynolds 19" Trunk - Surplus | The Signature Short Leg

Designed with Former founder Dane Reynolds, the Reynolds 19" Trunk is the short-leg option in the range and the one built around how Dane actually surfs — above the knee, out of the way, nothing catching on a rail. It runs a 90% nylon / 10% spandex ripstop rather than the usual polyester, which is the difference you feel: lighter in the water, faster to dry, and far harder to tear on a fin. Surplus is a washed military green.

Key Technical Features

• 90% Nylon / 10% Spandex Ripstop: Nylon carries less water than polyester, so the short doesn't turn heavy on a long session, and the ripstop grid stops a small nick becoming a split. The spandex gives it enough stretch to paddle in without the fabric fighting you.

• 19" Leg Length with Hem Binding: Sits above the knee — the shortest cut Former makes. The bound hem keeps the leg opening from curling or fraying, which is where cheaper trunks give up first.

• Velcro Closure Cargo Pocket with Eyelet and Elastic Key Loop: A side cargo pocket that seals properly, with a drain eyelet and an internal elastic loop so a car key rides with you instead of getting buried in the sand.

• Fixed Waist with FORMER Drawcord Aglets: No stretch waistband to blow out. Branded metal aglets on the drawcord rather than heat-sealed plastic, plus contrast stitching and Crux and Legacy logo labels on the side panel.
