The Crux Overdye T-Shirt is part of Former's Origin Collection — built around the Crux and the Legacy, the two marks that have carried the brand since 2017. It's a 200GSM cotton jersey in the standard Former tee block, printed front and back and then overdyed, so the colour sits unevenly across the seams the way a tee does after two summers rather than two weeks. Washed Bark is a faded warm brown.
Key Technical Features
200GSM 100% Cotton Jersey: Mid-heavy weight — enough body that it hangs properly off the shoulder instead of clinging, without being a boxy heavyweight tee.
Overdye Finish: Dyed after construction, so the thread and the seams take the colour differently to the body. That's what gives it the worn-in look out of the bag, and it's why no two are quite identical.
Front and Back Crux Graphic, Soft Hand Screen Print: Printed both sides in a soft-hand plastisol that sits into the fabric rather than on top of it — no plastic panel across the chest.

About Former
Former is a surf and skate apparel and media company founded by Craig Anderson, Dane Reynolds, Austyn Gillette and Dylan Rieder, and run out of Ventura, California. It is rider owned and independently operated — the names on the door belong to the people testing the product, shooting the films and signing off the graphics.
Two marks have anchored the brand since 2017: the Crux and the Legacy. They run through the Origin Collection and out across everything else Former makes, from 200GSM cotton jerseys and 320GSM brushed fleece to nylon ripstop trunks and heavy cotton workwear twill. The detailing is where the brand shows its hand — garment washes and pre-shrunk finishes as standard, embroidery where most labels would print, and branded metal hardware where most would settle for plastic.
Former is as much a film outfit as a clothing label. Projects like DEFECT and I Do Believe I'm Wishing, the documentary on team rider Shaun Manners, are made in house and put out online, which is a fair summary of how the whole thing runs: make it properly, release it, let it speak for itself.
