Skimmers are built small and light, which quietly rules out most of the riders who want to spin. The 2027 Ronix Wave King Skimmer is Ronix's answer to that: 61 inches long, 22.5" across the waist, and built in Koal Classic so it stays damp instead of skittish under a rider who loads it hard.

Key Technical Features

• 61" Length, 22.5" Max Width: A genuinely oversized skim platform. Surface area — not volume — is what makes a skimmer spin under a heavier rider, and this has more of it than anything else in the line.

• Koal Classic Construction: Ronix rates this build for Extra Dampening and Durability, and both matter here. A 90 kg-plus rider transmits far more chop through a skimmer, and lands 360s far harder.

• 2.6" Rocker: More rocker than a typical skimmer carries. It keeps the nose clear when a big rider sinks the tail to set up a spin, which is exactly where an under-rockered skim board catches and stops.

• 3 x 3" Blueprint Carbon Fins: A thruster set of short carbon fins. Short enough to break loose on command, three of them for enough hold to line the spin up in the first place.

• 16.4 L Volume: Deliberately low. A skimmer is sized to plane, not to float you at rest — the numbers look small next to a surf-style board because the board works in a completely different way.
