The 2027 Ronix Wave King Flyweight Surfer exists because most surf-style boards quietly stop working the moment the rider tips past 90 kg. Ronix redrew the shape for this year and built it on the Flyweight platform, so you get 28.9 litres of float without the dead, log-like feel that usually comes with a board this size. Key Technical Features

• 28.9 L at 5'4": Float sized for riders 91 kg and up. Volume is what keeps the nose clear and holds you in the pocket on a wake that isn't perfect — without it you spend the whole set chasing the boat.

• New Shape For 2027: Ronix reworked the outline this year for what they call supercharged turns. The board pivots off the tail rather than pushing through the turn the way the old shape did.

• Flyweight Construction: Ronix's lightweight build. On a board this big, swing weight is the whole argument — less of it is the difference between a surfer you throw around and one that throws you around.

• 3.7" Rocker: A properly pronounced rocker line for a surf-style shape. It's what lets a 20.1" wide board come off the top instead of ploughing straight through the lip.

• 2 x 3.5" + 1 x 3" Blueprint Carbon Fins: Oversized side fins with a smaller centre. The big sides give drive and hold through the bottom turn; the short centre keeps the tail free enough to release when you ask it to.
