2027 Ronix Vault Wakeboard | The Building Block to Your Wakeboarding
The 2027 Ronix Vault is a 3-stage boat board on the Modello core built for entry-level and intermediate riders, and it's the board most people should learn on. The reason is a design decision Ronix made over twenty years ago: your shoulders and hips are not parallel when you wakeboard. You're crossed up toe-side and inline heel-side, so the two edges shouldn't be identical. The Vault's aren't, and that asymmetry is what makes a first season click instead of drag.
Key Technical Features
- Asymmetric Rails and Moulded-In Fins: A more vertical sidewall with shorter moulded-in fins on the heel-side edge for glide and a quicker release. A longer moulded-in fin and a sharper rail toe-side for more water contact and a stronger, more secure edge hold.
- Most Naturally Centred Rocker Line: A 3-stage rocker, 2.4" to 2.7" across the range, drawn to be ridden with neutral weight. You stand relaxed rather than being asked to load the tail.
- Modello Core: Ronix's poured foam with their highest strength-to-weight ratio. Neutral energy rated 4 — consistent rather than explosive, the most useful trait while you're learning.
- Two 1.75" Hook Fins: The most locked-in, stable fin Ronix make, built for new riders and choppy water. The moulded fins do most of the holding, so the Hooks come out as your edging sharpens.
Why You'll Love It
Entry level to intermediate, and that's the honest ceiling. The Vault gets you standing, then carving, then jumping, without punishing you along the way, and behind a smaller boat you'll still feel a solid pop. It runs 130 through 145, so it covers the whole family rather than just the biggest rider on board. Who it isn't for: once you're clearing the wake consistently and want a rockerline that carries speed across the flats, the District is the hybrid step up — that's exactly when to move.
Size Guide
- 130 cm: riders up to 57 kg · 2.4" rocker · 757 sq in
- 135 cm: riders up to 75 kg · 2.5" rocker · 787 sq in
- 140 cm: riders 66–84 kg · 2.6" rocker · 836 sq in
- 145 cm: riders 77–95 kg · 2.7" rocker · 875 sq in
Board only, Hook fins included — pairs with the District boot or the Divide boot. Between sizes, go longer: it sits higher, rides slower and forgives more.
Quick Answers
Vault or District?
The Vault is the learner's board with asymmetric edges and moulded fins that stop the toe-side wash-out; the District is the intermediate step with a hybrid rocker and four removable Ramp fins. Getting up and holding an edge, Vault; clearing the wake and progressing, District.
Vault or Krush?
Same design, same asymmetric thinking. The Krush is the women's version — rated Stored 3 rather than Neutral 4, on the Modello Secret Flex core with a size-specific layup, in 130, 135 and 140. The Vault adds a 145 for bigger riders.
Does it come with boots, and what size?
Board only, with two 1.75" Hook fins fitted. Ronix pair it with the District or Divide boot, both open-toe with multi-size ranges so a shared board fits everyone. Size on the heaviest regular rider.
