The 2027 Ronix Utopia is Trent Stuckey's signature park board and the thinnest profile Ronix has ever put in a mould. A one-piece wood core tapers from a stiff 85 centre out to a 52 tip and tail, so it holds drive through the flats and then folds into a press the moment you shift your weight. This year it picks up pretension glass, and that changes what the board gives back when you load it.

Key Technical Features

• Tapered Flex — 85 Centre, 52 Tip and Tail: One piece of wood, progressively thinner toward the ends. The stiff middle keeps speed and pop underfoot; the thin tips lock into a nose or tail press more easily than anything Ronix has built.

• Pretension Glass: New for 2027. The laminates are pulled tight as they go into the mould, so the fibres sit pre-loaded rather than waiting for the board to bend before they react. Ronix's own testing has riders gaining up to 21% more air time.

• 3-Stage Rocker With A Flat Spot Outside The Boots: Relaxed enough to carry real speed across the water, with a flat section beyond the bindings that gives a controlled, predictable connection when you come onto a rail. The rocker steps up with length — 3.1" on the 143 through to 3.5" on the 151.

• Pulled-In Base Channels: The channels sit further in from the rail than usual. You feel them driving on the water and you don't feel them at all when you're sliding a feature — which is the whole point on a park board.

• Tip And Tail Concave: Locks onto pipes and pole jams, and adds hold through a turn on the way in.

• Inserts 25% Closer, Plus Four Extra: Trent wanted finite stance options rather than three coarse settings. Every length takes a 20–26" stance, so you can dial it rather than pick from three coarse settings.

Ronix rates this Advanced and that's the honest call — a stiff 85 centre asks to be ridden hard, and if you're still finding your feet at the cable it will feel like more board than you need. What it rewards is a rider who already hits features and wants to press deeper and hold longer. The Epic or the Pinpoint are the softer, more forgiving places to start.
