The 2027 Ronix South Shore exists to solve the hardest part of skim riding — the beginning. It's a big, stable skim platform built on the same style of foam Ronix use in their Flyweight boards, and it ships with foot straps, which is the single fastest way to get a first 360 to land instead of sliding out from under you.

Key Technical Features

• Foot Straps Included: The reason this board is on the list. Straps hold your feet in place through a rotation so you can learn the spin itself before you learn to keep your feet under you — and they come off when you're ready.

• Standard Core Construction: Handmade, using a similar foam to Ronix's advanced Flyweight skimmers. Light for the price, which matters when the board is this big.

• High-Volume, Wide Platform: 11.6 L at 53" rising to 15.8 L at 62", at a constant 21" width. Far more float than a performance skimmer, which is exactly what makes the 360 easier.

• Blueprint Fibreglass Fins: Two 2.5" and one 3" Blueprint fins — more fin than a technical skimmer runs, for hold and predictability while you're learning.

Why You'll Love It

Beginner to intermediate, and unambiguously a learner's board. Buy it if you want to ride skim and haven't yet, or if you're setting up a boat where the kids and first-timers need something forgiving. It is not a board you'll keep once you're spinning confidently — the volume and fin setup that make it easy also make it slow to release. Plan on moving to a Tuff Tech Osmo after it.
