The 2027 Ronix RXT Blackout Technology is the board Ronix throws every new idea at first, and this year it carries a construction that hasn't been done before in compression moulding. The engineering problem was an old one — riders want a stiff, reactive take-off but a soft landing, and those two things fight each other. Pretension fibreglass is Ronix's answer, and the data coming back off the water is hard to argue with.

Key Technical Features

• Pretension Fiberglass: As the laminates go into the mould, the fibres are pulled tight — pre-loading the glass so it's already primed to release. Normally you wait for the board to react to the energy of the wake before it recoils. Here it's ready the moment you edge in. Ronix are recording up to 21% more flight time.

• Blackout Core: The most connected core in the range. Feedback comes straight up through your feet, so you always know what the board is doing underneath you — the difference between guessing at a trick and committing to it.

• Continuous Rocker: Smooth, predictable take-offs and speed that never stalls through the flats. You carry momentum off the wake rather than getting popped straight up, which is what puts you deep into the landing zone.

• Instant Energy Construction: A quicker way to generate lift off the wake. Load the line and the board answers immediately instead of asking you to wait for it.

• Forgiving Shape: A lenient outline that corrects itself when you land off-target. It won't punish a slightly nose-heavy landing — which is exactly what you want on a board you're learning new tricks on.

• Fin Setup: Four 1.0" Ramp fins and four 0.8" Free Agent fins. Run them loose for a surfy, slidey feel or lock it in for hard edge hold — the board changes personality depending on how you set it up.
