The 2027 Ronix Osmo Skimmer in Tuff Tech is the same outline as the Dark Matter Osmo — Dylan Matthews' wide, low-rocker twin tip — wrapped in a harder-wearing, less expensive construction. You give up some of the carbon liveliness and gain a board that shrugs off being stood on by everyone at the sandbar. For most boats that's the better trade.

Key Technical Features

• Tuff Tech Construction: Ronix's extra-durability layup. It's heavier and less reactive than the Dark Matter build, and in exchange it takes knocks, rail dings and boat storage far better — the honest reason this board costs $700 less.

• The Proven Osmo Shape: Identical outline to the high-end Osmo. Wide, minimal rocker, twin tip — it carries speed through the turn and lets you sit deep in the pocket without pumping for it.

• Button Fin System: Tool-free fin changes with 1" and 2.5" Blueprint fins, fibreglass here rather than carbon.

• EVA / Rubber Blended Traction: Softer and tackier than straight EVA, which matters on a skim board where your feet move across the deck rather than staying planted.
