2027 Ronix Kinetik Project Wakeboard | A Classic Shape With New Guts
Dominik Hernler has had two boards in this line — Flexbox 1 with a softer belly, Springbox 2 with softer tips. For 2027 the Ronix Kinetik Project stops choosing between them. True Flex construction puts a top wood layer that flexes independently of the bottom layer under the same classic outline, so the board gives where you ask it to instead of being locked into one profile.
Key Technical Features
True Flex Construction: Two stacked pieces of wood that move independently of one another. The top layer can bend without dragging the bottom layer with it, which is what Ronix mean by aquatic freedom — the board contorts however you ask it to.
58 Tip And Tail, 85 Centre: A firm belly with noticeably softer ends. The centre holds its line and drives hard when you load it, while the tips give enough to lock into a press. It is a different answer to the Epic, which is soft the whole way through.
Hernler's Classic Outline: The shape hasn't changed — it's still drawn for fast, aggressive, locked-in park riding. Only the construction underneath is new.
Continuous Rocker: Speed that holds across the flats and a smooth, predictable release onto a feature rather than a sharp three-stage break. The rocker is low too — 2.3" on the 144 through to 2.5" on the 156.
Three Lengths, 144 to 156: The longest size run in the park range, which matters for heavier riders who normally get left out of cable boards.
Why You'll Love It
Intermediate to advanced. This is the board for a rider who already charges and wants the board to keep up rather than to forgive — Hernler's style is fast and locked in, and the shape is drawn around that. If you want the softest possible feel, the Epic goes further. If you want the thinnest tips and the deepest press, look at the Utopia. The Kinetik Project sits between them and is the most versatile of the three.
