There's an awkward gap between a kids' surfer and a full-size adult shape, and the 2027 Ronix Alpha Squad Sea Captain is built to fill it. It's a smaller version of one of Ronix's best-selling adult shapes — same hybrid profile, same hard-charging thruster feel — scaled to a 4'2" length and built in the lightweight Standard Core. A real step up rather than a bigger toy.

Key Technical Features

• Adult Sea Captain Shape, Scaled Down: Not a kids shape with a graphic change. The outline and rail profile come straight off the adult board, so the way it reacts is the way the next board they buy will react.

• Hybrid Profile: Sits between surf-style and skim, which suits a rider still working out which way they want to go. It'll hold a rail for a carve and still let the tail loose if they'd rather spin.

• Standard Core Construction: Ronix rates this build as Lightweight. Less board to swing matters more for a teenager than an adult — it's the difference between throwing the board around and being thrown around by it.

• 2 x 2.3" & 1 x 2.9" Alfred Fibreglass Fins: A thruster set sized for the board, bottom-mounted with a tool. Short fins to keep it playful, three of them to keep it tracking when they load up for a bottom turn.
