About This Product

2027 Raptor Inertia Wakeskate | Bi-Level Feel, Single-Level Price

A wakeskate has no bindings, so everything you feel comes from the deck and how the base sits in the water. The Inertia splits the difference between the two things a skate can be. The top is a three-stage rocker deck with deep, steep footwells that give you something to push against; the base is a mellower shape that tracks rather than grabs. Together they give you the feel of a bi-level skate without the price of one.

Key Technical Features

  • Three-Stage Rocker Top Deck: The kick is in the deck, not just the base β€” which is what gives you leverage to pop rather than having to muscle the whole board off the water.
  • Steep, Large Footwells: Deep enough to locate your feet by feel alone. On a board with nothing holding you on, knowing where your back foot is without looking is most of the battle.
  • Raised Platform, Rolled Edge Rail and Generous Side Cut: All three do the same job β€” push water away from your feet, so the deck stays drier and grippier through a turn.
  • Full Fibreglass Construction: Stiffer and more consistent than timber, and it will not soak up water and go dead over a season the way a neglected wood skate does.
  • Single Mounted Fin at Each End: Just enough tracking to hold a line and land straight, without the fin drag that stops a skate sliding when you want it to.
  • Solid Core: Deliberate weight. A heavier skate sits into the water and stays stable underfoot instead of skipping off chop β€” the difference between learning on it and fighting it.

Why You'll Love It

Two sizes: 41" in orange, 43" in blue β€” go longer for more stability and more weight to carry, shorter for a board that flicks faster. Wakeskating is unforgiving early on, and the Inertia is built for that stage: stable enough that you spend the session riding rather than swimming, with enough pop left in it once shuvits and ollies start landing. Not the board for someone chasing the loosest, lightest competition skate.

About Raptor

Raptor is the boardsports arm of Straightline Sports Co, an Australian family watersports business based in Echuca, Victoria. The range is built around what actually gets ridden behind an Aussie boat β€” kneeboards, wakeboards, wakeskates, wakesurfers, combo skis, slalom skis and towables β€” designed in-house by a team that rides the gear it draws.

The brand's reputation was built on kneeboards, where the Madhouse, Powerfish and Misfit are fixtures on lakes and rivers around the country, and it has since carried that same value-for-money thinking into wakeboards and skis. Raptor sits alongside sister brand Straightline, whose ropes and handles have been an Australian benchmark for decades. Stocked through more than fifty specialist dealers nationwide.
