About This Product

2027 Raptor Ignite Combo Water Skis | Your First Two Skis, Sorted

Learning to ski behind a boat is mostly a fight against the gear. The Ignite Combos take that fight away — a RIM moulded pair built wide and stable, with adjustable bindings that fit almost any foot and a rear kicker so the same set carries you through to dropping a ski. Raptor build these for the family boat, where the skis get handed from one person to the next all afternoon and then live under the house until next summer.

Key Technical Features

  • RIM Moulded Construction: A one-piece moulded build with no laminates to delaminate and nothing to maintain. Leave them wet in the boat, leave them in the sun — they keep their shape.

  • Tunnel Bottom: A channelled base that grips the water rather than sliding across it, so the skis track straight while a learner is still figuring out where to put their weight.

  • Poly-Carbonate Fins: Stiff enough to hold a line at speed, forgiving enough to take the reef and ramp scrapes that come with beginner sessions.

  • Trainer Bar Inserts: Threaded inserts in both decks accept a Raptor trainer bar, so the tips can be locked together for a first-timer and freed up the moment they no longer need it.

  • Pinch-Slide Adjustable Bindings: Adjust by hand in seconds across a wide foot-size range — one set of skis for the whole boat.

  • Rear Kicker with Non-Skid Pad: The rear toe piece means the skis convert to a single ski when someone is ready to drop one, instead of being outgrown.

Why You'll Love It

These are beginner skis and we're not going to pretend otherwise — an experienced slalom skier will find them slow and wide. That is exactly the point. For a first-timer, a nervous adult or a family boat that needs one set of skis to cover everyone, the width and the tunnel bottom do the work that technique hasn't learned yet. Take the 67in for adults and bigger teens, the 62in for lighter and younger riders. When they can get up every time and start leaning on one ski, the kicker is already there waiting.

About Raptor

Raptor is the boardsports arm of Straightline Sports Co, an Australian family watersports business based in Echuca, Victoria. The range is built around what actually gets ridden behind an Aussie boat — kneeboards, wakeboards, wakeskates, wakesurfers, combo skis, slalom skis and towables — designed in-house by a team that rides the gear it draws.

The brand's reputation was built on kneeboards, where the Madhouse, Powerfish and Misfit are fixtures on lakes and rivers around the country, and it has since carried that same value-for-money thinking into wakeboards and skis. Raptor sits alongside sister brand Straightline, whose ropes and handles have been an Australian benchmark for decades. Stocked through more than fifty specialist dealers nationwide.
