The 2027 Radar Union is built around a proven Vapor shape with four-tenths of an inch of extra width outside the tunnel — enough lift, balance and support that the ski rides higher on the water and feels fast and nimble without asking you to work for it. An All-Terrain Core in 100% carbon fibre, for 24–32 mph (40–52 kph). Radar built this one for skiers coming back to the water, and it shows from the moment you lean away from the boat.

Key Technical Features

• Added Width Outside the Tunnel: Four-tenths of an inch more than the Vapor shape it's based on, and two-tenths more than a Senate. That's what creates the lift and support at slower speeds, and why the ski feels settled the second you load the line rather than five metres later.
• High-Speed Flow Line: Straighter lines from the wide point through the tail give water a more efficient path across the ski. Less drag, less resistance — so it holds speed and connection across the wakes even behind a boat that isn't at course speed.
• All-Terrain Core: Polyurethane with paulownia wood stringers. The wood damps the ski — it absorbs rough water instead of transmitting it, which is exactly what you want while you're rebuilding confidence.

Why You'll Love It

Beginner to intermediate, and we mean that as a compliment. The Union is for the skier getting back on the water after a few years off, or the one who's done fighting a narrow ski to get out of the hole. It works behind a family boat that isn't holding tournament speed, and it's still a real slalom ski — it rolls onto edge and carves properly, it just doesn't punish a slow start. Who it isn't for: if you're running a course consistently at 30-plus, step to a Senate Alloy. If deep-water starts are still the battle, the Session is wider again.

Quick Answers

Union or Senate Alloy?
The Union is two-tenths wider than the Senate and runs down to 24 mph — the easier deep-water start and the softer ride. The Senate Alloy is the better ski once you're up and carving hard, and it holds a line at 34 mph where the Union feels big. Returning to the sport or skiing behind a slower boat, the Union.

Union or Session?
The Session is Radar's widest ski and the easiest start of all, for 20–30 mph. The Union is narrower, carves harder and runs to 32 mph. If you've skied before and want a slalom ski that still gets up easily, the Union. First slalom ski ever, the Session.

Does it come with boots?
No — blank ski with the adjustable fin fitted. Add a front boot and either a rear boot or an ARTP.
