2027 Radar Senate Alloy Slalom Ski | The Ski That Doesn't Need Perfect Water

The 2027 Radar Senate Alloy is Radar's best-selling slalom ski: an All-Terrain Core — polyurethane with paulownia wood stringers — wrapped in 100% carbon fibre, on the new 2027 Senate shape with two-tenths of an inch of Performance Width over the Vapor. A 26–34 mph (43–55 kph) crossover ski that stays fast through the wakes and goes soft and predictable through the turn.

Key Technical Features

• All-Terrain Core: The paulownia stringers damp the ski — they absorb chop and boat roll instead of passing it up into your feet. The most forgiving construction in the Senate line.
• 100% Carbon Fibre: A full carbon wrap, so the flex is even along the whole ski and the same every set.
• Performance Width: The tunnel and edge bevels stay the same as the Vapor's; a one-tenth-inch rail is added each side outside the concave for lift at slower speeds without touching the roll, grip and drive through the wakes. Slow the boat down without slowing down how hard you ski.
• 2027 Senate Shape: The same new Matt Rini geometry as the 2027 Vapor. Earlier, more consistent roll into the turn, stronger tip-down drive out of the finish, easier direction through the wakes.

Why You'll Love It

Intermediate. If you ski a mix of free skiing and the odd course pass and want one ski that never feels like the wrong choice, this is it — it works whether the driver holds 30 or 34, and it works when the lake is rough. Who it isn't for: if you run the course at a fixed speed and shorten the rope every set, the Senate Graphite or Lithium gives you a stiffer flex and more feedback. If you're still working on deep-water starts, the Union is wider and easier up.

Quick Answers

Senate Alloy or Senate Graphite?
Same shape. The Alloy's wood stringers give the softest ride and the widest speed window (26–34 mph); the Graphite is stiffer and more planted for 28–34 mph course work. Free ski more than you run buoys? The Alloy.

Senate Alloy or Union?
The Union is another two-tenths wider and runs down to 24 mph — the easier deep-water start. The Senate Alloy is the better ski once you're up and carving, and holds a line at 34 mph where the Union feels big.

Does it come with boots?
No — blank ski with the adjustable fin fitted. Add a front boot and either a rear boot or an ARTP.
