2027 Liquid Force Origin Aero Wakeboard | The Origin, stripped of weight

The 2027 Liquid Force Origin Aero is the same shape that turned the Origin into a lineup staple, rebuilt around Liquid Force's AERO core - under 6lbs, and it feels it. Luca Kidd drove the design through LF's Athlete Driven Innovation programme, and this year's graphic is a tribute to his father following his recent passing. It is a personal board, and a seriously quick one.

Key Technical Features

• AERO Core: One of the lightest cores in the industry at under 6lbs. It disappears underfoot, so the energy you put into the wake comes back as height rather than being spent swinging the board around.

• Corrugated Top Sheet: A contoured profile that mills material away while adding stiffness exactly where it counts. Lightning-fast edge-to-edge response and torsional rigidity that loads up preloaded pop. Tangible tech, no gimmicks.

• 3K Carbon Reinforced Stringer: Strategically placed carbon weave that reinforces the structure and gives back extra rebound off the wake.

• Exaggerated Double Concave Hull: A pronounced double concave with an exaggerated centre spine diverts water on hard landings. Nothing in the Liquid Force boat range lands softer.

• Reinforced Tip/Tail Edges: Extra material at the ends, where energy usually bleeds out. Locked into a carve with line tension building, the edge-hold stays with you.

• Removable AX Quad Fin Setup: Locks in hard carves but stays loose enough for surface tricks and easy spins off the wake.

Why You'll Love It

This is a board for an experienced boat rider who already knows what they want out of a wake and is chasing more of it. The AERO core rewards a rider with the edge control to load the line properly - if you are still working on that, the standard Origin is the same shape at a much friendlier price and you will not miss the weight saving. Where the Aero earns its money is in the flats: inverts land softer, spins come round quicker, and a long session takes less out of you. Not a cable or rail board - look at the Apex or the FLX for that.
