The 2027 Hyperlite Rage gets a new build this season: BioCarbon Construction, with a 12K carbon stringer running top and base. Underneath, the shape is unchanged and still aggressive. A three-stage rocker delivers a hard vertical kick, a Dual Concave Base with a soft centre spine keeps it stable, and chained rails hold traction where a lesser board washes out.

Key Technical Features

• New BioCarbon Construction: The 2027 rebuild. Hyperlite's bio-based laminate over the Rage core, tuned for more pop off the wake and softer landings than the board it replaces.
• 12K Carbon Stringer - Top & Base: High-modulus carbon laid into both laminates. It stiffens the board along its length, which is what turns a committed edge into height instead of flex.
• Classic 3-Stage Rocker: A flat middle with a defined kick at each end. The tail loads, holds, then releases late and vertically. It asks for a committed edge and pays properly for one.
• Dual Concave Base: Channels through the belly for speed and edge hold, with a soft centre spine that breaks the water on landing instead of slapping it flat.
• Cupped Rails, Shallow Concave Tips: Rails that cup at the ends for solid grip on the approach and a clean, catch-free release off the lip.

Why You'll Love It

Hyperlite's skill bar puts the Rage from around 40 per cent of the scale up to 90: solid intermediate through to advanced, and a genuine step up from a beginner deck rather than a pro-only board. Speed and pop both sit high. Who it isn't for: if you have not cleared the wake yet, the State 2.0 will get you there faster. If you already ride this shape hard and want lighter and snappier, the Rage Loaded is the same board with a PVC 100 core and two fibreglass rods added to the carbon.

Rage or Blueprint?
Rockerline and temperament. The Rage is three-stage: a later, harder kick that wants a committed edge. The Blueprint is continuous, faster across the flats and far more forgiving on landings. Chasing height, Rage. Building a trick list, Blueprint.

Rage or Rage Loaded?
Same shape and rocker. The Loaded adds a lightweight PVC 100 core and two 3mm fibreglass rods to the carbon stringer, and Hyperlite starts its skill bar halfway up the scale rather than at 40 per cent. Start on the Rage.

Can I take it to the cable park?
Behind the boat, all day. At the cable it will do laps, but it has fins and no reinforced deck, so keep it off rails and kickers. For features, look at the Impulse or the Bloodline.
