2027 Hyperlite Murray Pro Wakeboard | Shaun Murray's First Reshape in a Decade

The 2027 Hyperlite Murray Pro is the first new Murray shape in more than ten years, and Hyperlite set itself one brief: do not ruin it. The running surface riders have trusted for a decade carries over untouched. What changed sits above it — a new diamond tip that sharpens edge control without costing pop, and grab rails moulded into the top sheet, stiffening the board so it stores more of your edge and gives it back as lift.

Key Technical Features

• Biolite 3 Core: Hyperlite's PU foam core in a compression moulded build. Light enough to spin easily, damp enough that a flat landing does not ring through your knees.
• Subtle 3-Stage Rocker: A softer three-stage than the Rage or Capitol. The kick arrives when you load the edge, but there is no dead flat spot, so it keeps driving.
• Diamond Tip & Tail: New for 2027. A narrower, faceted profile at both ends that sharpens edge control, and the change Hyperlite made without giving up any pop.
• Integrated Grab Rails: Moulded into the top sheet, stiffening the middle of the board for more stored energy and more height off the wake.

Hyperlite's own skill bar runs the Murray Pro from 15 per cent of the scale to 90, the widest range in the 2027 boat line, with speed high and pop just above the middle. Read that as a board you can learn to ride switch on and still be riding when you throw inverts. Who it isn't for: if your edge control is sorted and you want maximum height, the Rage and Capitol kick harder, and lighter riders wanting this package in a softer flex should look at the Journey or Prizm.

• 135 cm: shortest, quickest to spin
• 140 cm: the size most riders land on
• 145 cm: more area, softer landings
• 150 cm: longest, for heavier riders, softest landing

Quick Answers

Murray Pro or Sender?
Both are forgiving boat boards. The Sender runs a full three-stage rocker and pops harder; the Murray Pro runs the subtle three-stage, holds more speed through the flats and starts lower on the skill scale.

Is the 2027 shape different enough to upgrade?
The base is unchanged, so it feels familiar underfoot. The diamond tip and grab rails are what you notice: more bite on the edge, more lift for the same effort. A refinement rather than a rebuild.

Can I ride it at the cable?
It is built as a boat board. Cable parks that allow fins will take it, but for pressing features you want a finless park board like the Impulse.
