The 2027 Hyperlite Murray Jr. Girls is Shaun Murray's grom shape with Hyperlite's Satin Flex and its own topsheet. Everything under the graphic is the Murray Jr.: the same Subtle 3-Stage Rocker, the same Variable Edge Design, the same two sizes and the same published rider weights. This is a progression board, for a kid who is already up and riding and wants to start clearing the wake.

Key Technical Features

• Subtle 3-Stage Rocker: A staged rocker with the flat spot taken out. It gives a light rider a real boost off the wake without the dead feeling underfoot that a hard three-stage brings.
• Satin Flex: Hyperlite's softer flex tuning. A 40 kg rider cannot bend a standard adult-flex deck, and a board that will not bend will not give anything back.
• Variable Edge Design: The rail sharpens underfoot for edge hold and cups at the tips for forgiveness. Aggressive where a kid needs grip, soft where a kid needs a second chance.
• Biolite 3 Core & Minimum Swing Weight Profile: A light PU and fibreglass core with mass pulled out of the ends. Spins and flips start easily, which is most of the confidence at this age.
• Fins: .8" P-Wing (4): Four 0.8 inch P-Wing fins, the same fin the adult Murray Pro runs, so it tracks on a first hard edge.

Why You'll Love It

Hyperlite's skill bar starts the Murray Jr. Girls just off the beginner end and runs it to 90 per cent, so there is a long life in it, but it is not a first-ever board. Speed sits high and pop mid-range, despite the catalogue copy promising a huge boost, so read it as a confident, controlled shape rather than a launcher. Who it isn't for: a genuine first-timer will progress faster on the Divine Jr. or the State Jr., both of which start at zero on Hyperlite's own scale. Over about 59 kg they have outgrown the 127 and should be on the 134 Prizm.

The two published weight ranges overlap heavily, so as a rule take the 120 for a smaller or newer rider and the 127 once they are jumping. Board only, four fins included, bindings sold separately on M6 inserts. Hyperlite pairs it with the Jinx Girls and the Jinx.

Level. The Divine Jr. is 119 cm on a continuous rocker for a first-ever board, and its skill bar stops at about 30 per cent. This one starts where the Divine leaves off and runs to 90.

Which size, and does it come with fins?
Under about 50 kg, the 120. From roughly 41 kg to 59 kg, and especially once they are jumping, the 127. Four P-Wing fins are in the box. Bindings are separate.
