2027 Hyperlite Eden 2.0 Wakeboard | Asymmetrical, Satin Flex

The 2027 Hyperlite Eden 2.0 fixes the thing that stalls most new riders: the toe-side edge. Its asymmetrical shape runs a shorter toe-side rail than heel-side, so it takes less pressure to hold an edge into the wake and less again to swap back to heels. Add moulded-in fins, toe-side risers and Satin Flex, and you have the women's version of Hyperlite's best-selling beginner deck.

Key Technical Features

• Asymmetrical Design: A shorter toe-side edge and a full-length heel-side edge. Toe-side turns stop being the hard part, which is where most beginners lose a session.

Why You'll Love It

Hyperlite's own skill bar runs the Eden from zero to about halfway up the scale. The catalogue heading calls it an all ability level shape, but the graphic does not support that. This is a beginner to lower-intermediate board and a very good one: speed high, pop low, exactly right for a deck built around getting up, holding an edge and clearing the wake for the first time. Who it isn't for: once you are landing wake-to-wake consistently you will outgrow it, and the Journey is next. Want the same asymmetrical platform in standard flex and longer sizes, that is the State 2.0.

Two sizes. A younger, lighter rider wants the 125 Eden Jr., which is this shape scaled down and listed separately. The catalogue and hyperlite.com name this board's rockerline differently, so we have quoted the catalogue and left the rocker height out. Board only, fins moulded in, bindings sold separately on M6 inserts. Hyperlite pairs it with the Viva and the Jinx.

Quick Answers

Eden 2.0 or State 2.0?
The same asymmetrical shape and the same fins moulded into the base. The Eden adds Satin Flex and runs 130 and 135. The State runs standard flex out to 145. Under about 70 kg, and if a standard deck feels stiff, take the Eden.

Eden 2.0 or Journey?
Level. The Eden's skill bar tops out around the halfway mark, the Journey's runs to 85 per cent. Learn on the Eden, move to the Journey when you are landing tricks rather than learning to jump the wake.

Do I need to buy fins or bindings?
Fins, no: they are moulded into the base. Bindings, yes. The board ships as a deck on M6 inserts that take Hyperlite boots and every other major brand.
