About This Product

2027 HO Omni Slalom Ski | The One Ski That Does Everything

The 2027 HO Omni is the ski for people who want one ski, full stop. A genuine crossover: wide enough underfoot to make deep-water starts easy and stable behind any boat, but shaped closely enough to HO's course skis that it will still take you through the buoys when you decide to try.

Key Technical Features

  • 4-Stage Rocker Line: Two true flat spots rather than one continuous curve. They make the ski settle underfoot instead of wandering, and let it accelerate out of a turn.
  • Clean Edge Tail: HO measure it at 50 per cent less drag. The tail releases when you ask it to rather than dragging you flat, so acceleration comes without forcing it.
  • High Volume Concave: A deeper channel through the base for hold and forgiveness. This is the feature doing the work when the water is rough and your edge is not perfect.
  • Larger Bevels: Softer edges than a pure course ski. They add stability and make the ski far less likely to catch and pitch you while you are learning.
  • Hybrid Width: Wider than a tournament ski, narrower than a trainer. That compromise is the whole point of the Omni, and why one ski covers the family.
  • Classic Construction: Fiberglass Polyurethane composite: Glass over a polyurethane core. Not the lightest build HO make, but forgiving in chop and tougher than carbon.

Why You'll Love It

This is the honest answer for most people on most lakes. A beginner gets an easy start and a ski that forgives a bad edge; an intermediate gets something still right two seasons later. HO rate it beginner through advanced. Who it isn't for: a dedicated course skier chasing shorter line lengths wants the carbon Omni Ultra, and anyone yet to get up on one ski should look at the Hovercraft.

Size Guide

  • 65": up to about 75 kg · 6.92" wide
  • 67": roughly 68-91 kg · 7.12" wide
  • 69": roughly 86-113 kg · 7.32" wide
  • 69" Wide: over about 113 kg · 7.52" wide

Weights converted from HO's published pounds, so treat them as a guide and go longer if you sit between two. The 69 Wide is the same length as the 69 with more surface area, for a heavier skier or the easiest start. HO recommend 39 to 51 km/h. Sold as a ski only, blank, with the Omni fin fitted; bindings and plates separate.

Quick Answers

Omni or Omni Ultra?
Construction. The Omni is glass over polyurethane, forgiving and tough. The Ultra runs a PVC foam core with carbon laminates and the adjustable Syndicate fin: lighter and sharper, less patient with a rough edge.

Which size should I be on?
Go by weight: 65 up to about 75 kg, 67 from 68 to 91, 69 from 86 to 113, and the 69 Wide above that. In an overlap, longer starts easier and shorter turns quicker.

Does it come with bindings?
No. It ships blank with the Omni fin fitted, which adjusts fore and aft. HO sell the Stance plates separately and we can sort a package.

About HO Sports

HO Sports has been building water skis in the United States since 1958 — the oldest name still making them, and the brand behind a long run of firsts in slalom design.

The range runs from the Syndicate tournament skis ridden at the top of the sport down to the crossover and trainer shapes that get families up on the water. Same shaping room, same testing lake, whichever end you buy from.
