A waterski rope package gives you everything you need in one box — a pre-stretched mainline with colour-coded sections and a matched handle. The right package depends on your ability level, preferred handle shape, and whether you're skiing recreationally or working through the course. Welcome Boardstore stocks waterski rope packages from Radar and Straightline across beginner through tournament-level setups — shipped fast from our Australian warehouse.
Tournament & Performance Packages (8–9 Sections)
8 and 9-section packages give you the most length adjustment options — essential for course skiing where you progressively shorten the rope as you improve:
- Radar Control Barlock Elliptical Package (2025) — 70ft mainline, 8 sections, 64-strand pre-stretched rope. 13" handle available in three bar styles: Straight Bar (Blue/Black), Arc Bar (Red/Black), and Elliptical Bar (Green/Grey). Double-dipped endcaps. Tournament colour-coded sections. Built for tournament and weekender skiers who want a premium handle with multiple bar geometry options.
- Straightline Signature Package Elliptical w/ 8 Section (2025) — 13" Elliptical handle, 8 sections, 80-strand Poly-Pro pre-stretched mainline. Aluminium bar cross-weave handle and leader, 27mm brushed rubber handle, enclosed encapsulation for safety. Tournament colour-coded sections. A premium 8-section package for serious course skiers.
- Straightline Elevate Slalom Ski Handle w/ 8 Section Mainline (2026) — 13" handle, 9 sections, 16/30 PolyPro pre-stretched mainline. Cross-weave handle and leader. Tournament colour-coded sections. The most section-versatile package in the range — 9 sections for maximum rope length adjustment as you progress through the course.
Recreational & All-Round Packages
- Radar Sure Grip Package w/ 8 Section Mainline (2025) — 70ft mainline. Available in 8-section (Silver/White) and 5-section (Red/White) configurations. 13" handle with tacky TPR grip, 6" finger protectors, foam floats, vinyl sleeves. Rip-ready and floating. The most accessible Radar package — suited to all skill levels for summer skiing. Tacky TPR grip is comfortable for long sessions and easy to hold when wet.
Beginner to Intermediate Packages (5 Sections)
5-section packages are ideal for recreational skiers who want a reliable, pre-stretched rope without the full course-skiing section count. All Straightline 5-section packages use 16/30 Tournament-Grade PolyPro low-stretch mainline:
- Straightline Team LV Suede Handle w/ 5 Section (2026) — 13" handle, 5 sections, 16/30 PolyPro low-stretch mainline. 27mm Long V, Team Suede handle, EZYUP with Float. Suede grip for a soft, comfortable feel. Beginner to intermediate.
- Straightline Team LV Rubber Handle w/ 5 Section (2026) — 13" handle, 5 sections, 16/30 PolyPro low-stretch mainline. 27mm Long V, Team Rubber handle, EZYUP with Float. Traditional rubber grip. Beginner to intermediate.

How to Choose the Right Waterski Rope Package
- Sections — 5 sections suit recreational skiers who ski at a consistent rope length. 8–9 sections are essential for course skiing — you shorten the rope by removing sections as you progress, from 75ft down to 13m (43ft) and shorter.
- Handle shape — Straight bar: Traditional, suits most skiers. Arc bar: Slightly curved for a more natural wrist position. Elliptical bar: Oval cross-section for a more ergonomic grip. Long V vs. Short V refers to the angle of the handle arms — Long V gives more leverage for powerful turns.
- Grip material — Rubber: Durable, reliable, traditional. Suede: Softer and more comfortable for long sessions. Tacky TPR (Radar Sure Grip): Extra grip when wet, with finger protectors for added comfort.
- Rope construction — Pre-stretched PolyPro (all packages) gives a consistent, low-stretch pull. Higher strand count (80-strand Straightline Signature vs. 64-strand Radar Control) generally means a stiffer, more responsive rope.
