Stinky Socks started in Bulgaria in 2011 when brothers Hristo and Dimo Petkov — snowboarders who had been distributing American brands into a tiny Eastern European scene — decided to make their own thing. They spent half of a tiny budget on a logo and the rest on three sock designs. The graphics are still the point: loud, illustrated, closer to a skate video than a merino lookbook, with a proper snow-sock construction underneath.
