How to Choose the Right Men's Ski
- Waist width — Narrower (under 85mm) = faster edge-to-edge on groomers. Wider (95mm+) = better float in powder and off-piste. 85–95mm = the all-mountain sweet spot.
- Rocker profile — Camber = maximum edge grip on hardpack. Rocker = easier turn initiation and float in soft snow. Rocker-Camber-Rocker = versatile all-conditions performance.
- Ability level — Intermediate skiers should look at the Rossignol Experience range (78–82mm). Advanced skiers ready to push harder will love the Arcade 84, Forza 50, or Elan Ripstick 96. Powder chasers should head straight to the Candide BC 111 or Resort 101.
- Ski length — Shorter skis are easier to control and turn; longer skis are faster and more stable at speed. Match length to your height, weight, and ability — our team can help you dial this in.
