Rojo was born in 1987 when Jo Buckle and Roe Clapham — two young textile designers with fifty dollars each and a kitchen table — started painting fleece-lined headbands they called “Art for Ya Head.” They were 22 and 23, selling into a snow industry that barely made clothing for women. Almost forty years later the brand is still independently owned in Torquay, still designed by women for women, and still one of the few Australian snow labels that treats a female fit as the starting point rather than a shrink-and-pink exercise.

Welcome Board Store carries a full Rojo wall: jackets, pants and bibs, fleece and layers, beanies, socks, mitts and goggles. It all ships from Mornington.
