Korua Shapes came out of a Japan trip in 2012 — a handful of snowboarders in their thirties watching how Japanese riders built boards for powder and deep carves, then taking that idea home to the Alps. The company is based in Brannenburg, Germany. Every Korua board is about a sidecut that actually lets you lay a turn over, and a nose that floats when it gets deep.
