YES Snowboards 2025: Best All-Round Boards for Australia & Beyond

How's it going, guys? Chris from Welcome Board Store. Today we're taking a look at all-round boards that you should have on your radar from YES Snowboards this summer.

We have the All Out, which is a great all-round ride in Australia. You can also ride it overseas—Japan, Canada, you name it, this board will do it all. Then we have the Standard and the YES Standard UnInc. These are the top three picks I would recommend if you're looking for a board that performs well in Australia and can handle deep snow overseas, whether in Japan, Canada, or wherever you're heading for a snow adventure.

Starting with the YES Standard, it's probably our most popular board for riders who want something that works well in powder but also performs everywhere. The reason this board is such a great all-rounder comes down to a few key features. The camber profile is set between the feet, lifting up at both ends, which allows the board to naturally sink back. It also has what we call a MidBite, where the board narrows in at the waist, providing quick edge-to-edge transitions while maintaining a wider nose and tail for stability and float in deep snow.

Additionally, the board has a tapered tail, meaning the tail is pulled in more, which allows it to sink better in the snow. The Standard also features a slam-back stance, so when the snow is really deep, you can set your bindings further back for a full powder surfing experience. For everyday carving in Australia, you can keep it centered. It’s a directional twin, meaning the shape is slightly more directional, but the contact points remain fairly twin, allowing for easy switch riding.

The Standard has a flex rating of 7 out of 10. If you're looking for something a little more aggressive—if you've got strong legs and like to charge bigger lines—you might prefer the YES Standard UnInc. This board has all the same features as the Standard, but with more camber. It's a full camber board, running from the nose to the tail, which gives it more pop, stability, and energy through the back foot. Experienced riders can still manage a full camber board in powder without any issues, and it provides more edge hold and control at higher speeds.

For those tackling big mountains and looking for something stiffer underfoot, the Standard UnInc is the way to go. While the flex rating is officially listed as a 7 out of 10, it feels more like an 8 compared to the regular Standard.

Next up, we have the All Out, a unique board with a tapered sidecut. The board steps in dramatically at the MidBite, keeping the center of the board really nimble while stepping in slightly at the tail. This design gives it a narrower waist width for quick edge transitions while maintaining float in good snow. The tapered tail helps the board naturally sink in powder. Like the Standard, the All Out features a slam-back stance, allowing you to adjust for deep snow when riding overseas while keeping a balanced stance for Australian conditions.

The All Out has a 7 out of 10 flex rating, making it an excellent choice for riders who like to go fast without the board chattering. Pairing it with a good set of boots and bindings that match its stiffness is important for optimal performance.

In terms of rider suitability, the All Out is perfect for cruisers looking for an easy, all-round ride. The Standard is great for more serious riders who want versatility in all conditions, while the Standard UnInc is built for pro-level riders who demand high-energy response and stability at speed.

These three boards are all excellent choices for riding in Australia, offering strong performance in all conditions, while also excelling in overseas powder. No matter which one you choose, you're guaranteed to have an epic time on the snow.
