Liquid Force Butterstick Pro 2024: Joe Battleday’s Take on the Latest Upgrades

Guys, we've got a special guest today—Joe Battleday! How are you, mate?
"Good, man. Good to see you!"

We've got the board he's been riding—the Butterstick Pro. We also have last year’s Butterstick Pro to compare, as there are a few updates this year. Joe, how are you liking the improvements, and what are the differences?

"I’ve been loving the new board. A couple of updates this year have made it even better. It was already my favourite board, and now it’s just improved. They’ve thinned out the sides, especially in the middle, making it noticeably lighter. With the sharper edge, it has a way better grip through the water while still maintaining that classic Butterstick Pro feel. The flex through the tips is perfect, nice and solid through the middle, which makes it forgiving on landings. It was my favorite board before, and now it’s just gotten better."
So you're finding a little bit more edge hold?

"For sure. It’s slightly more versatile now, making it better for air tricks and kickers. The only thing it was missing before was that, because it had a thicker sidewall, it was a little heavier and didn’t quite have the same edge hold, especially on landings. Now, with the refinements, those issues are sorted."

Sick! Well, there you have it—Joe Battleday’s take on the new Butterstick Pro!
