Strata binding came about from the team guys at union wanting something similar to the four which is this guy right here which has been a bestseller for many years as an all-mountain freestyle binding but they wanted a mini disc in this so union went away it came out last season.
This one this is the second season of this binding and they came up with the v1 duraflex base which is the lightest most responsive bias so if you're looking for a lightweight super responsive bass.
This is the base for you and the mini disc is right here opposed to the force which
has got the bigger disc so your disc space on a board is basically creating like a dead spot so the smaller you make the disc.
The more that the board's going to be able to truly flex and have that board feel big thing about this bas I've that I personally noticed when I tried it was you felt like you're really low to the board like you're not sitting as high as some of the other models in union so being lower to the board just gives you a really really good feel really stiff light high back as well you've got four-way ultra light straps like everything on here is the lightest four-way buckles.
This is a super comfy strap as well it's like a wetsuit material through there ultralight clips over the front really like that strap and just a really stealth looking
binding. This year with just everything just keeps getting better and better with the union like the way this buckle system works super sick pops out so it's never going to come undone over the years.
You know union just continues to upgrade all their little features like screws there just everything about their bindings now is just bomb proof and yeah we love the. So what's another thing to of course union discs as well you don't have to worry about um what board it is it'll go on a track system or a four-way pattern so they're universal discs and these are the two colorways that we've got today which is the yellow and there's red and black which just goes back fire with any boards that have red on it.
