Hey guys, if you're chasing new boots, come in here to Welcome Board Store and we can get you sized up.
It's really important to get the right size snowboard boots, and we have all the latest machinery here. We've got the SIDAS machine, so what'll happen is when you come in, we'll get you to jump on the machine like Jonah right here, put your heels back on, and then we just enter the details, female.
We hit go on that, and then you'll see your feet on there, and then we hit scan. This will do a scan of your feet and then it's going to give us all the information we need. So here we can see it's a US men's 9 or Mondo Point 26.5, which Mondo Points are in cm.
Then we have the width, so 5E, so quite a wide foot is suggested, so we're going to want a wider boot. Insoles are really, really important in snowboard boots, so he has a mid-arch, so he's going to need something like a mid insole. Then the next part of the process is to basically come over here, and we can talk about all the different boots that you might want.
Socks are really, really important with boot fitting, so we have all the socks that you need—full Merino socks. You want a nice thin technical sock for when you're in your snowboard boots so you can get a really precise fit. Also, we have a whole range of footbeds.
So, on the machine there, it said Jonah was a mid-arch, so the SIDAS mid-arch would be where we would start with getting the right insole. A proper insole in your snowboard boot is just going to mean that it's going to hold your heel back into the boot, and you're going to get a better riding experience, better view, and body.
What comes in a traditional snowboard boot is really flexy and doesn't give you much support, so you never really get a true fit. We also have Joey's footbeds right here, which are full custom moldable footbeds, and then we also have the Masterfit program as well.
So, each company does different footbeds; some are going to work for others better, and these are multi-feed as well. We also have full customs where we do like a cast of your foot as well if you want to get really serious. We've got Joey's footbeds, which is your full moldable custom, which means they get heated up and they'll mold the shape to your foot.
So, we've got the heater here, which we use with the Salomon heater. This thing's designed for snowboard boots, but yeah, you'll sit the footbed in there, put this on here, warm it up, then the boot will mold to your feet. So generally, boot fitting can take up to like half an hour to an hour depending on what sort of feet you've got.
We've got a system online where you can book in to do custom fittings. Book now!
