2025 Bataleon ThunderStorm Snowboard
2025 Bataleon ThunderStorm Snowboard
The 2025 Bataleon Thunder Storm is perfect for any aggressive rider who loves everything between resort shredding at top speeds to maximum control at high incline descents. With plenty of carbon throughout and a beveled topsheet near the waist, anyone who is a speed freak that demands control will love this board. Boasting directional Freeride 3BT shape and high camber, the Thunder Storm is an aggressive, directional, mid flexing ride that is designed to destroy deep powder, carve apart groomers, and ride hard and fast all over the mountain.
Rider Level: Intermediate
Board Type: All Mountain Freeride / Powder
Flex: 6/10 (1 = soft, 10 = stiff)
A mid flex for stability at speed, responsive turns, and powerful pop.
Float: 69/100
Maximum volume for surfy vibes in the pow, or a smaller surface area for nimble freestyle performance. This number is calculated with length, width, 3D shape and surface distribution.
Outline Shape: Directional Freeride
On more freeride orientated boards the centre base is at its most narrow and the uplift is at its highest this creates unparalleled float in pow super fast edge-to-edge transitioning.
Camber Profile: Low Camber
All 3BT boards have a positive camber profile but vary in the degree of camber and uplift across the width of the board. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail.
3D Shape: 3BT + Sidekick
3BT - At the heart of every Bataleon is 3BT (Triple Base Technology). It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimises the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance.
Sidekick - Sidekick dramatically increases the amount of uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation smoother, enhances float, and improves handling in rough terrain.
Sidebase Uplift: High Nose, Medium Tail
The gradual side base uplift determines how the board will behave on snow. Most effected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology, making Bataleon boards more versatile than others.
Core: Ultra Light Core
A 70/30 Paulownia and poplar blend that offers awesome strength to weight.
Tri-Ax Laminate - A 3-way fibreglass weave that strengthens the flex pattern and keeps the board light, strong, and responsive.
Carbon Stringers - This board has two carbon stringers placed in both the nose and tail. The nose stringers run from the front insert to just behind the contact points and the tail stringers run from the insert to the tail. This gives you more pop and power in your tail for backseat steering and more torsional stiffness in your nose for powering through powder and carves.
D.S.T. - The Dual Super Tube upgrade puts two hollow carbon rods in the bottom of the core, enhancing pop and putting more snap into the camber.
Step Down Rails Top 3D - This topsheet 3D effect features a slight taper of the deck along the top of the sidewall. This reduces the top-profile, saving weight and adding more precision to your carves.
Flex Walls
